Collaboration - Hollie Brettle

For the collaboration part of professional practice, the plan was to create a website for a friend who was currently studying illustration at Birmingham City University. Hollie Brettle creates a variety of illustrations, many of them being portraits of famous people. I find her style to be unique, the line drawn figures are bold and very detailed. After creating the website, I had an idea to promote it via printing business cards or leaflets. These could then be distributed, enabling Hollie to get known a bit more.

I decided to keep the website simple, to produce a professional appearance. Within the website, I included a page that would tell the audience a bit about Hollie. A short paragraph that would tell the viewer what she does as an artist.

Website Name: Hollie Brettle's Illustrations
Website Address Link: http://holliebrettle.webs.com/contact

A preview of the photo-gallery within the website. The images are provided to the viewer on a flash player slideshow. This was also done to disable right click saving, to prevent the images from being downloaded without permission.

I added a contact form to the website, which is set up directly to Hollie's email address. This is so anyone that wants to contact her, can do so quickly and hassle free. Perhaps for future pieces or possible collaborations etc.

After setting up the website, I designed a flyer that I could distribute around Hollie's local area (Halesowen). This is to help her expand as an artist, plus it also has its benefits as she is available for commissions. After the design was confirmed via Hollie, I took the file to a local printing firm and had 100 flyers printed.
